AMET Library is named as ‘GERORGE.T.R CAMPBELL LIBRARY’. It uses the popular AutoLib Software with Bar-coding system for issue, return and renewal of books. It also facilitates the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) methods. Library follows the Open Access system for the Llibrary users. Library consist specialised collection of Books, Periodicals on Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Harbor Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Management Studies, Biotechnology, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, Physical Education and also hold the Dissertations and Projects.

The Library uses the popular AutoLib
Library Software Systems with the advanced Bar-Coding method for
issue, renewal, return and the day-to-day Library activities.

Autolib,
Library Software is a multi user software on Windows environment
cabpable of handling of records. It facilitates Online Public Access
Catalogue (OPAC).

- Displays available books on Title, Author and Publisher
- Displays the borrowers status (No.of books borrowed and also overdue charges)
CLASSIFICATION & CATALOGUE
The Library follows the Dewey Decimal Classification 22e/d (DDC)
method and the method of Catalogue is AACR II. DDC and the AACR II
is one of the popular systems for classify and catalogue the Books. For
searching the Books by Title, Author and the Publisher wise, etc., the
users can avail the facility of Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) at our Campus.
USER ACCESS

Library follows the OPEN ACCESS SYSTEM.So users can approach the subject wise Bookracks to find out the Books, Periodicals and Projects.

The users can search the availability of Books through the Intranet Library Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) System.The users can reserve the books by using Username and Password through the Intranet.

The user should borrow the reserved book with in 48 hours, if not the reservation automatically cancelled.

Members of the Library can check their accounts in the OPAC enabled computers in using User ID & Password.

The users can also avail the facility of searching the reading materials in other online Libraries subscribed by AMET University Library
